Duplicate Photos
Eyedeea detects groups of similar or duplicate photos so you can review them and keep the best shots. The AI finds likely matches - you choose which copy survives.

How it works
- After Auto Curation runs, the AI flags likely duplicates.
- Photos appear in clusters - each cluster is one moment captured more than once.
- Eyedeea suggests an original (usually the sharpest or earliest capture).
- You keep or delete each candidate. Keep decisions persist - the same pair is not flagged again.
Open Duplicates review

When you resolve every cluster, the tab or folder hides until new duplicates are found after a future upload or scan.

Review a cluster
For each duplicate group:
- Scan the thumbnails - the suggested original is marked.
- Tap Keep on photos you want to stay in your library.
- Tap Delete on extras you do not need.
- Double-click or tap a thumbnail to open the Photo Viewer for detail.
Set as original / Swap
If Eyedeea picked the wrong photo as the original:
- Click Swap (or Set as original on the review card) on the photo you prefer.
- That photo becomes the reference for the cluster going forward.
Compare
Open Compare for a fullscreen side-by-side view of the original and a duplicate - useful when the difference is subtle (exposure, crop, or blink). Use the icon toolbar under each photo to Swap, Keep, or Delete.
Bulk actions
Toolbar:
- Keep selected - mark multiple photos to stay
- Delete selected - move multiple extras to trash at once
Web right-click menu:
- Keep selected
- Delete selected
- Delete entire cluster(s) - remove every flagged copy in selected groups
Review a few clusters manually before relying on bulk delete.
Web and Android
The duplicate review grid is identical on web and Android. Desktop users also see Duplicates as a folder under Albums; mobile users get a top-level tab when duplicates are pending.
